After graduated from Sun Yat-Sen university of Medical Science , Xu attended at department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery，Sun Yat-Sen Memorial hospital since 1987. Dwelling more than thirty years in Otomicrosurgery and Lateral skull base expertise, Xu is professional in otitis media, ear malformation, tinnitus, hearing loss, vertigo, facial paralysis ,lateral skull base tumor and so on . As a pioneer of lateral skull base surgery in southern China, Xu and his team are not only leading in this area but also staying advanced.
Xu owns the Prize of Medical achievement award of Sun Yat Sen university by his writing 《Otitis Media Therapy》, presides four provincial-ministerial level projects, publishes more than 100 academic papers contains more than 10 first-author papers on SCI.
Xu was awarded as “Excellent doctor of Guangzhou”in 2019.
