Chaogang Chen is the director of the Clinical Nutrition Department of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, chief physician and secretary of Health Party Branch. He is a member of a council of the Chinese Nutrition Society, a member of the standing committee of the Community Nutrition and Health Management Branch and the leader of the Community Nutrition Working Group. He is also the standing director and party branch secretary of Guangdong Nutrition Society and the director of Nutrition Education and Health Promotion Committee. He has been awarded the titles of "Good Doctor of Yangcheng", "Top Ten Communication Star of Nutrition Science in China", "Advanced Worker of Nutrition Industry in China", "Excellent Party Affairs Worker of Sun Yat-sen University", "Excellent Communist Party Member" and other titles.
