Professor Yamei Tang has been specializing in treatment, teaching and scientific research of neurological disease over decades in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital. She has won the support of the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China and the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars of China, Shu Lan Medical Award, title of Top Ten Outstanding Young Neurologists in China of the first session, title of the New Century Excellent Researcher Award Program from Ministry of Education and title of Star of Science and Technology of Pearl River in Guangzhou Province. Professor Tang did researches as a visiting scholar in Medical College of Georgia, USA. Until now she has presided over multiple scientific research projects including 8 national projects and provincial projects; published over 40 SCI papers as corresponding author on J Clin Oncol，Acta Neuropathol, Clin Cancer Res, Stroke, Neuro Oncol etc.; and published 3 neurological monographs. Professor Tang has made advanced progress in the treatment of radiation-induced brain injury and formulated 《Diagnoses and Treatments of Radiation-induced Brain Injury: An Expert Consensus》.The research achievement was formally announced in the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience, Asian Cold Spring Harbour, the annual meeting of Brain Injury of North America. Professor Tang expertizes in the treatment of cerebral vascular diseases, radiation-induced brain injury, headache and dizziness. And Professor Tang with her medical team is conducting scientific researches in cerebral vascular diseases, radiation-induced brain injury and dementia.
