As achief physician, doctor of medicine, doctoral supervisor, postdoctoral mentor, Prof. Chen yangxin is also among the Education Ministry's New Century Excellent Talents and Outstanding Young Medical Talents in Guangdong Province. Also, he is currently the vice president of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University andthe vicedirector of the Department of Cardiology.
Besides, Prof. Chen serves as the Youth Committee Member of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing Branch of Chinese Medical Association, vice chairman of the young and middle-aged electrophysiology working committee of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing Branch of Chinese Medical Association / professional committee of cardiac rhythm of Chinese Medical Doctor Association,vice chairman of the youth committee of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology branch of Guangdong Medical Association, vice chairman of cardiovascular branch of GuangdongMedical Doctor Association. Besides, he is the communication editorial board member of theChinese Journal of Cardiology. He is also a reviewer of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
During recent five years, he has directed 3 General Programs funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and published 18 papers in journals indexed by Science Citation Index Database.
He has a wealth of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmia and unexplained syncope. Especially, he is expert in the device implantation for arrhythmia and heart failure.
