Prof. Xiao majors in treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, especially surgical and comprehensive treatment of cancer, metastatic liver cancer. He is skilled in a variety of open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. He completes more than 300 various hepatobiliary and pancreatic operations each year, of which more than 90% are difficult operations of grade 3 and 4.

Prof. Xiao has long been committed to clinical and basic research on malignant tumors of the digestive system. He has got 3 grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China and several grants from Guangdong Province, and published more than 30 professional academic papers. Pro. Xiao was named Guangdong Distinguished Youth Talent and Guangzhou Good Doctor.
