Prof. Jiang Chun Returns Home after Accomplishing Medical Mission in Ghana

Prof. Jiang Chun, Urologist Expert from Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University, returned home on the evening of December 31, 2013 after accomplishing his medical tasks from Ghana. Two years ago, he joined the Second Chinese Medical Team to support medical service in Ghana. Led by Prof. Chen Rufu, Vice President of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital (SYSH), more than 20 staff members from SYSH arrived at the Guangzhou International Airport to greet Prof. Jiang Chun.

Wang Jianping, Executive Vice President of Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU), Fu Jianhua, Director of Bureau of Affiliated Hospitals Administration, Chen Huagui, Deputy Director of Human Resources Department, other leaders of relevant affiliated hospitals, and family members of the medical experts also waited for the heroes’s returns at the airport.

Four doctors from SYSU affiliated hospitals, including Prof. Jiang Chun from Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital, Prof. Yang Lu from The First Affiliated Hospital, Prof. Yang Yu from The Third Affiliated Hospital and Prof. Zeng Zhifan from Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center, were selected as members of the Second Chinese Medical Team for Ghana Medical Support in December 2011. For the past two years, they have won extensive recognitions and praises for their dedications and contributions to the medical development in Ghana.
